On July 27-28, 2023, Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum was held in St.Petersburg

The Chairman of the Chamber of Control and Accounts of Moscow Victor Dvurechenskikh took part in the panel session of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation «The state in a changing environment: What is the future of external audit?» on July 27.

Participants discussed the following issues: the role of supreme audit institutions (SAI) in improving the effectiveness of government agencies in the context of ensuring national sovereignty; how SAI promote the principles of openness, transparency and accountability in public administration; what digital technologies should be included in the toolkit of the future auditor; what new approaches to human resources management should SAI apply.

On July 28, a roundtable discussion was held to share experiences between the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation, the SAI of African countries and the audit bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in two sections: «Sustainable development audit: challenges and opportunities» and «Strengthening the capacity of supreme and regional audit institutions through the lens of combating corruption».
